BTW, I just had an interesting experience related to ENG-TIPS.

I typed just "" and got a pop-up (I presume from our firewall)
that read as follows:

          Reported Attack Page!

This web page at has been reported as an attack page
and has been blocked based on your security preferences.

Attack pages try to install programs that steal private
information, use your computer to attack others, or damage your system.
Some attack pages intentionally distribute harmful software, but many are
compromised without the knowledge or permission of their owners.

However, note that typing "" works just fine.

Just thought I'd put that out there just in case there might be some here
with less than rigid security set up for browsing the WWW.

Good one Bill!

Though the list was a most valuable tool to me early on in my career, and I
have made friends, gotten business, etc. from it, it seems to have died a
rather unceremonious death and now seems like it is on life support.

However, I have found this structural engineering message board that is
alive and well:
Structural engineering other technical topics Forum It is well organized as
it uses individual threads which makes it very easy to follow, the records
are searchable, and you can easily upload pictures and sketches along with
your post. I would love to see some of the good ol' SEAINT listers become
active participants, as anything like that is only as good as the people
who contribute.

Regards, and hope all finds everyone well!
