RE: 2013 Codes

I believe the wind section of ASCE 7 incorporates a "simplified" wind 
method developed by the Tri-state (California, Oregon and Washington) Wind 
Code Committee.  Us West Coast engineers griped too much having to figure 
out wind design hieroglyphics such as Topographic Factor and Gust Factor, 
when in the past we had the nice and easy Methods A & B for wind design. 
Essentially quadrupling time spent on wind design....resulting in less wind 
 loads from before.

I just started looking at the wind chapter. There are changes. Not sure if
