Re: HSS thin gage section properties

I came across this software package yesterday and am looking into it. I also came up with section properties ignoring the corners and got results that are close enough to use for now.

CFS by RSG Software will handle closed sections per AISI-S100-12 North

cold formed and seam welded, you can take the benefit from the
pseudo-increase in E. Otherwise, tell it to ignore the cold-work effects.

Minimum radius for cold forming of most ASTM structural sheet products is
2t. For most small radius you can ignore it or guesstimate radius and get
very reasonable estimates.
