Another investigative Report on Cracked Welds of the New Bay Bridge

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]

FYI, two individuals are extensively commented in the story; Steve Heminger
, Executive Director of Metropolitan Transportation Commission who was in
charge of this bridge design and construction from day one in 1997 has no
background in engineering and apparently is major in art. Tony Anziano ,
who was the construction manager and the top Caltrans decision maker for
the construction , also has no degree or background in engineering and is a
lawyer. Tony Anziano was the one who fired the Caltrans Engineer and the
Inspection company's engineer who were in charge of QA and QC of
fabrication in China and who raised concerns about poor quality of welds.
