Re: Cantilevered Glass Balcony Rails

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Bill,

I have some literature on cantilevered glass panels attached to continuous aluminum shoes, google Julius Blum also. The panels you are talking about have to be analyzed individually though, FEM type
Andrew Nasser, SE in pasadena does that, he is a glass guru

Tarek Mokhtar, SE

Does anyone have a link or reference to a design guide or curves which would assist in designing the glass panels, particularly for the condition where the glass is anchored by discrete post bases rather than a continuous shoe?
TIA,
